Run for Hope 2026

More than a run. A movement to keep children in school.

On 29 November 2026, Karura Forest hosts Run for Hope — bringing individuals, corporates, and communities together around one clear goal: keeping 100 children in school for the entire 2027 academic year.

About the Project

Led by Mercy of Hope Foundation, Run for Hope 2026 brings together individuals, corporates, and communities to raise funds and awareness in support of vulnerable children across Kenya. With a fundraising target of KES 3,000,000, the project combines community action, storytelling, and direct intervention to create lasting educational impact — funds raised are channeled directly toward school fees and essential learning needs.

Why This Matters

Our work in communities such as Kibera and Mathare has revealed a harsh reality: across underserved communities, many children face disruptions in their education for reasons entirely outside their control. Run for Hope exists to change that narrative by addressing:

• Unpaid school fees
• Lack of basic learning materials
• Financial instability at home
